Project Updates
Nearly $7 million in capital and major maintenance projects are scheduled at Bowman Field for FY 2011 through FY 2015. (The Authority’s fiscal year is July 1 through June 30.)
Here's an update on some of the current projects:
Apron Upgrades
The apron near the Louisville Executive Aviation Hangar was rehabilitated. Additional apron repair and seal coating will be performed in 2011.
Central American Window Replacement
New energy-efficient windows will be installed in the Central American Airways office building in early 2011.
T-Hangars
Design has begun on 32 new T-Hangars east of the Aero Club. Construction is expected to begin in the spring and should be complete in the fall of 2011. For T-Hangar lease and transition information, contact Darrell Watson at 502-363-8509 or darrell.watson@flylouisville.com
Asphalt Repair
Miscellaneous road repairs will be made in 2011—including asphalt overlays on streets maintained by the Airport Authority.
