The Louisville Travel Forum celebrates nine years of enhancing air service at the Louisville International Airport (SDF). The program began in August 2006, when a group of local air travel managers were invited to discuss the region’s most pressing air service needs, wants and aspirations. After their meeting, it was clear that local travel managers were interested in learning more from the airport, including how they could help retain and enhance air service. Now, nearly nine years and 35 quarterly meetings later, the Louisville Travel Forum has approximately 60 participants representing large and small companies, hotels, universities and travel agencies from around the region.
However, the need for input from local travelers and travel managers continues and new participants are welcome to join the conversation. As new flights, airlines and terminal services are pursued – the LRAA wants to hear your ideas. If you plan travel for your company, direct others to make travel arrangements or are a frequent traveler wishing to become more involved in air service, we would like to meet you.
