Beginning Thursday, June 7, United Airlines will add a second daily, nonstop flight from Louisville International Airport (SDF) to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).
“It is exciting to see United Airlines growing at Louisville International Airport,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “This new afternoon departure provides even more options for travelers bound for the Washington, D.C. area, the East Coast and offers an additional connection to Asia and other international destinations.”
United Airlines currently offers nonstop service from Louisville to Chicago-O’Hare, Denver, Newark and Houston’s Bush Intercontinental, in addition to Washington Dulles International Airport.
Louisville International Airport has experienced a consistent increase in passenger traffic during the past 12 months. Due to the increased demand and market growth, service is now available to a record 31 destinations from Louisville, including 17 of the top 20 destinations travelers visit most. With just one stop, travelers from across the region can reach 170 international destinations in 81 countries on six continents.
