Allegiant’s New, Nonstop Service to Charleston Set to Take Flight

Allegiant Air will begin low-fare, seasonal nonstop service between Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) and Charleston International Airport (CHS) on Friday, May 28, 2021. To celebrate, Allegiant is offering special, low-fares on-sale now through Wednesday, January 13 at Allegiant.com.

Nonstop flights to Charleston will be offered twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. The airline will operate the flight using an Airbus A320 with 177-seats.

Their growth at SDF, especially during a pandemic, speaks to their confidence in our community and the team at SDF,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “Charleston marks Allegiant’s 11th destination, and we look forward to its takeoff from SDF.”

In addition to Charleston, Allegiant also offers service to Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, New Orleans, Orlando-Sanford, Punta Gorda, Saint Petersburg-Clearwater, Sarasota and Savannah-Hilton Head. Tickets to Charleston, along with all of Allegiant’s routes, are now on sale at Allegiant.com.

Nonstop service between Louisville and Charleston was previously announced in January 2020 and scheduled to begin in May 2020; however, it was delayed due to COVID-19.
