February 10, 2023

Flights resume in time for Spring and Summer Travel

Spirit Airlines will resume nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) beginning on Wednesday, April 5, just in time for summer travel season.

“South Florida continues to be a Top 5 market for SDF,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “This gives travelers a convenient, low-cost option to get to one of their favorite fun-in-the-sun spots. Spirit took note of the growth of our market and we’re pleased they are resuming daily service to South Florida and the Miami-area for what we anticipate will be a busy spring and summer at SDF.”

As one of Spirit’s biggest cities, Fort Lauderdale is also the airline’s largest gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, providing access to numerous countries plus easy connections across the U.S. The daily flight will be offered on an Airbus A320 with 182-seats.
