The Louisville Regional Airport Authority (LRAA) announces the availability of a Draft Environmental Assessment (DEA) for the proposed Residential Sound Insulation project in eligible areas around the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) for review.

The Louisville Regional Airport Authority (LRAA) announces the availability of a Draft Environmental Assessment (DEA) for the proposed Residential Sound Insulation project in eligible areas around the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) for review.The DEA has been prepared in accordance with the Federal National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as amended, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Order 1050.1F, FAA Order 5050.4B, and the National Historic Preservation Act’s Section 106 process. The purpose of the proposed project is to meet LRAA’s commitment of reducing the impact of aircraft-generated noise within eligible (noise-impacted) homes around the Airport.

The DEA evaluates the environmental, social, and economic consequences of the proposed Residential Sound Insulation project.
