Nikki R. Jackson Appointed to Airport Board

Nikki R. Jackson has been appointed by Mayor Greg Fischer to the Board of Directors of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority for a four-year term. Ms. Jackson is Vice President and Regional Executive of the Louisville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The Louisville Branch is focused on community development and education, as well as regional economic research and policy input. The branch covers western Kentucky, metro Louisville and southern Indiana.

Ms. Jackson’s previous experience includes serving as secretary of the personnel cabinet for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, chief human resources officer for Charter Schools USA, vice chancellor of human resources for Maricopa Community Colleges, and other positions in both the health care and legal fields. In those positions, Ms. Jackson focused on strategic planning, community partnerships, succession planning, recruitment and retention, and labor negotiations. Ms. Jackson is a member of the National Society for Human Resource Management, the National Employment Law Council and the International Women’s Forum. She serves on the boards of Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest, One West, Louisville Public Media and Family Scholar House.

Her previous board memberships have included Women for Women, Kentucky Retirement Systems, Kentucky Deferred Compensation Authority, and Kentucky Mutual Employers Insurance. In 2009, she was selected as one of the Business First of Louisville’s “Forty Under Forty” winners. In that same year, she was included in the “10 Most Influential Women of Louisville.” Ms. Jackson holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and a B.A. in journalism from Hampton University.
