August 5, 2025

Today the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) celebrates the beginning of Southwest Airlines’ new, nonstop service to Nashville (BNA). This new service will give the region’s travelers convenient connections to more than 75 cities across the country.
“Travelers in Louisville and Southern Indiana now have a convenient link to even more of their favorite destinations thanks to Southwest’s new Nashville flight,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “Southwest’s continued support of SDF and our market is another win not only for our airport, but the community.”
The new service gives quick access to popular destinations along Florida’s Emerald Coast including Destin, Pensacola and Panama City Beach as well as the coastal cities of Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Savannah. It also provides easy connections to numerous cities across the country.
This quick 50-minute flight between SDF and Nashville is offered daily (except Saturdays) aboard a 143-seat Boeing 737 aircraft. With the addition of Nashville, Southwest serves 12 cities from Louisville including Baltimore, Chicago-Midway, Dallas-Love Field, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Houston-Hobby, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix and Tampa.
