Kentuckians for Better Transportation (KBT), the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) and Joby Aviation welcomed state and transportation leaders to Louisville on Friday, September 25, 2026 for an up-close look at Joby’s autonomous aviation technology and its potential dual-use applications for commercial freight, emergency medical transport, disaster response and defense logistics. The event featured Joby’s J208, a Cessna 208B Caravan equipped with the company’s autonomous flight technology, as part of Joby’s 2026 Electric Skies Tour. Guests viewed the aircraft, learned about Joby’s work to advance autonomous aviation and watched the J208 depart SDF as it continued its nationwide tour.
