The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) is hosting its fourth temporary Global Entry enrollment event later this month following the overwhelming success of previous events and the high community demand for this program. The Global Entry enrollment event will take place Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18. Appointments are available each day beginning at 7 a.m. until late afternoon or early evening.
All applicants are strongly encouraged to have an appointment; however, a limited number of walk-up appointments will be accepted each day based on availability between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. only. Conditional approval is required for all in-person interviews, regardless of confirmed appointment status.
Global Entry is offered through the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler Programs. It allows pre-approved travelers to expedite their entry into the United States with automated kiosks that streamline the arrival process. Other benefits include no processing lines, no paperwork, access to expedited entry benefits in other countries, reduced wait times and TSA Preü eligibility.
All international gateway airports that have nonstop service to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport currently offer Global Entry kiosks for travelers.
The temporary Global Entry Enrollment Center will be located on the ticketing level, immediately behind the Spirit Airlines ticket counter in the terminal. Applicants should follow the signs to the temporary enrollment center.
Applications for Global Entry must first be completed online through the Trusted Traveler Programs portal at https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov. Any questions about the online application or its process should be directed to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Applicants must bring a valid U.S. passport and another form of ID, such as a driver’s license, to the in-person enrollment interview.
IMPORTANT – Travelers must be conditionally approved prior to the in-person enrollment interview at SDF. Conditional approval can take several weeks. Because of this, interested applicants are encouraged to begin the online enrollment process immediately.
How to Apply for Global Entry
Note: The temporary location at the Louisville airport can only be chosen by an applicant who has been conditionally approved and is attempting to schedule the final step in the process. It will not appear in a search for a general enrollment center.
