John A. Moore Appointed to Airport Authority Board

John A. Moore was recently appointed by Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer to the Board of Directors of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority for a term through July 2020. He replaces Steve Trager who recently resigned from the Airport Authority Board. Mr. Moore currently serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Atria Senior Living, which operates 200 communities in 29 states and seven Canadian provinces.

He has served on the Board for Atria and its predecessor for 18 years with the last five as Chairman. He was named Chief Executive Officer for it and its predecessor in 2003. Prior to his time at Atria, Mr. Moore’s experience included serving as a Managing Director of Lazard Alternative Investors, a Managing Principal and Chief Financial Officer of Lazard Real Estate Partners and as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of World Financial Properties. He also worked as Senior Vice President of Finance for Olympia and York Properties. Mr. Moore is a member of the American Seniors Housing Association Executive Board, a Board Director of Argentum, the senior housing industry trade association and a Board member of the Waterfront Botanical Gardens in Louisville. He also serves as a Director and member of the Executive Committee of the Louisville Regional Airlift Development, Inc. (LRAD). LRAD is a new non-profit organization that was formed by leading regional business, community and government leaders for the express purpose of facilitating new, nonstop flights from Louisville International Airport to underserved markets, employing successful strategies used in other cities. Mr. Moore is also the immediate past Chairman of the Board of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing and Care. In addition, he has been a member of various industry associations, including the Pension Real Estate Association. Mr. Moore is a proud resident of Butchertown and a graduate of Yale University
