September 7, 2016

– As part of the $9.5 million Louisville International Airport Terminal Enhancement Project, HMS Host (food-and-beverage) and Paradies Lagardère (gift-and-news) are investing an additional $8-plus million in new outlets and retail stores. By Wednesday, September 7, Phase 4A terrazzo floor work on the far east side of the departures (upper) level, will be complete. With this completion, the far east exterior doors will reopen. Also, the Southwest Airlines ticket counters will resume operations from their permanent location on Thursday, September 15.

After the Security Checkpoint (Airside Terminal)

Construction continues on the airside connector (beyond the security checkpoint to the airside rotunda). As part of this work, the two moving sidewalks in both directions will be temporarily closed each night from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. beginning Wednesday, September 7 through the end of the month.
