Just in time for Valentine’s Day, complimentary copies of Moser’s first novel “loves comes first” available to travelers

Today the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) is hosting a special book signing of “love comes first” by local author and career aviation professional C.D. Moser. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, this friendship to love story features a strong airport connection as the story takes the main characters – Ashland and Cullen – on a journey around the world. During the book signing, taking place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the post-security rotunda where Concourses A and B meet, 100 complimentary copies of “love comes first” will be available for travelers at SDF.

“I was inspired by what I experienced at airports around the world, but especially here at SDF,” said Moser. “Louisville is unique in that local residents meet their loved ones here in-person significantly more frequently than what I saw anywhere else. I was amazed at the number of people who come to greet their family and friends with signs and cheers in the terminal, as well as how many say their goodbyes as people leave. I was obviously touched seeing these heartfelt interactions, and in a conversation with my wife about this, she said it would make a good story. So, I began writing and ‘love comes first’ was born.”

Moser has more than 37 years of aviation and airport experience with both American and formerly Continental Airlines. He served as a manager in the islands of St. Maarten and Turks and Caicos. He was also the Flight Service Director on long-haul flights to Hawaii and Guam as well as international destinations in Europe and Australia including New Zealand.

A native Texan, Moser and his wife, Laura, have called Louisville home for 10 years. He is currently an Airport Operations Specialist II at SDF, and has been employed by the Louisville Regional Airport Authority for more than eight years. He is both a Certified Member (C.M.) and Airport Certified Employee – Airport Operations (ACE) by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).

“When reading his book, it’s clear that C.D. is very talented and has a passion for aviation – not to mention he’s an incredibly valuable member of the Airport Authority team supporting daily operations and passengers at SDF,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “Hosting today’s event felt like an ideal opportunity to showcase his skills as an author to our community, but more importantly, our support of him from the Airport Authority. We applaud his creative talents and hope today’s travelers at SDF enjoy a signed copy of ‘love comes first.’”

In 2023, “love comes first” was published by Mill City Press, Inc. and is currently available for purchase on Amazon. Moser is working on his second novel, a love story titled, “it was you. all along.”
