Construction recently began on roadway improvements at the Renaissance South Business Park impacting Minors Lane, Air Commerce Drive and west-bound Outer Loop that will continue through the Fall 2017. (Please see below and included map for details.)
Minors Lane Improvements
As part of these improvements, Minors Lane is temporarily closed in two areas – Transglobal Drive to south of Minors Lane Elementary and Export Drive to slightly north of South Park Road. Work on the first section from Transglobal Drive to just south of Minors Lane Elementary is scheduled to be complete in early-August 2017, with one lane available during construction for local access to the school. (Work is to be complete before school resumes at Minors Lane Elementary.) The second section – south of Export Drive to just north of South Park Road – should be complete in Fall 2017. Due to construction, intermittent road closures will be possible on Minors Lane from Export Drive to south of Minors Lane Elementary.
Air Commerce Drive and Outer Loop Improvements
Roadway improvements will continue through Fall 2017 on Air Commerce from Outer Loop to just south of Transglobal Drive, and west-bound Outer Loop from Minors Lane to just west of the business park with the addition of a second left-turn lane into the business park. Air Commerce Drive will remain open for two-way traffic throughout construction for access to area businesses; however, lane reductions will be ongoing during the work. West-bound Outer Loop will also be impacted with lane reductions during construction.
