Vision Announces Low-Fare Service to Bahamas

July 22, 2011

Vision Airlines today announced that it will begin low-fare, nonstop air service between Louisville International Airport (SDF) and Grand Bahama Island/Freeport (FPO) beginning November 3, 2011. The airline will operate two departures per week using 148-seat, Boeing 737 aircraft. “Grand Bahama is one of the jewels of the Caribbean; however, getting there has always been expensive and time consuming. With Vision Airlines’ new $99* nonstop flights, going to Grand Bahama Island will be easier and more affordable than ever before.

These new routes are consistent with Vision Airlines’ plan of providing great, low-cost service to leisure destinations,” said David Meers, Senior Vice President and COO of Vision Airlines. Skip Miller, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, added, “We are thrilled Vision has chosen Louisville as key city in its growing network of destinations. Since December 2010, Vision has announced new, low-fare service to Atlanta, Destin/Fort Walton Beach, Fort Lauderdale and now, to the Bahamas. We look forward to working with Vision to make traveling from Louisville even easier and more affordable.”
