Vision Begins Low-Fare Service to Florida

March 29, 2011

Vision Airlines today launched low-fare, nonstop air service between Louisville International Airport (SDF) and airports serving both Destin/Ft. Walton Beach, FL (VPS) and Fort Lauderdale, FL (FLL). The airline will operate four flights a week to Destin and three flights a week to Fort Lauderdale, using a 150-seat Boeing 737 aircraft. This service complements the airline’s existing daily service from Louisville to Atlanta, GA. “Vision Airlines is excited to offer two new, low-cost air services to Louisville and surrounding communities—along with service already offered to Atlanta, GA,” said David Meers, Chief Operating Officer for Vision Airlines. “It is our desire to continue to grow our service and route structure and offer tremendous value to the leisure traveler.”

“We welcome this significant expansion of low-cost, nonstop service from Louisville, which provides our customers with access to two of the region’s most popular vacation destinations,” said Skip Miller, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. With these flights, Louisville International Airport’s eight major airlines will offer service to 27 nonstop destinations and convenient connecting service to hundreds of cities worldwide.
