New nonstop service to Washington-Dulles on United

April 4, 2011

United Airlines has launched daily, nonstop air service between Louisville International airport (SDF) and Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD)—a key United gateway to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The United Express service is operated by ExpressJet, using 50-seat Embraer regional jets. “We are pleased to link Louisville with our Washington hub,” said Ted Phillips, United’s Managing Director of Domestic Scheduling. “This new service offers additional choices to travelers throughout the region, providing new options for travel to and from cities throughout the East Coast, the Caribbean and across the Atlantic.”

“This flight not only offers a new, convenient option for travelers to our nation’s capital, but its schedule allows easy access to more than a dozen international destinations. In addition, with this flight, Louisville International will provide nonstop service to 28 destinations—including 18 of the region’s 20 most popular cities,” said Phil Lynch, Chairman of the Board of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority.
