Allegiant Begins Nonstop Service from Louisville

Louisville Regional Airport Authority officials joined by Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer recently celebrated the beginning of new nonstop service by Allegiant from Louisville International Airport (SDF) to six previously unserved destinations. “This is an exciting day as we mark the beginning of service by Allegiant at Louisville International Airport,” said Skip Miller, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “Allegiant is a great addition to our airport, and offers attractive fares to some of the most sought after destinations.” Recently, Allegiant began nonstop, twice-weekly service to:

Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS)

Orlando-Sanford (SFB)

Fort Lauderdale (FLL)

Savannah-Hilton Head (SAV)

Fort Myers-Punta Gorda (PGD)

Tampa-St. Petersburg (PIE)

Year-round service is available to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers-Punta Gorda, Orlando-Sanford and Tampa-St. Petersburg. Seasonal service to Savannah-Hilton Head will continue through August and seasonal service to Destin-Fort Walton Beach will continue through October. “The addition of a new airline and more than $10 million in recent upgrades and improvements at Louisville International Airport plays a vital role in our city’s economic development,” said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer. “We’re excited to add these affordable, year-round flights and look forward to welcoming even more visitors to our authentic city.” With the addition of the six flights from Allegiant, nonstop service from Louisville International Airport is now available to 27 destinations, including 17 of the region’s Top 20 domestic markets. With just one stop, travelers from Louisville can also reach 175 destinations in 80 countries spanning six continents.
