Woodlawn Overpass Construction (Impacts to Allmond Avenue)

May 4, 2017

Dear Neighbor: On behalf of the Airport Authority board and staff, thank you again for your patience during the Crittenden Drive Relocation Project. As you recall, the project was necessary to construct Taxiway A, which allows Louisville International to handle the newest 21st century aircraft — helping retain and attract even more aviationrelated companies and jobs for our community. The map to the right highlights in yellow the third (and final) phase of the project that began in early 2016 and is on schedule to be complete this summer.

Temporary Lane Closures

As part of this project, Allmond Avenue will be re-surfaced with a new asphalt-wearing surface. Beginning Monday, May 8, Allmond Avenue from Strawberry Lane to the intersection of Woodlawn Avenue will be reduced to one-lane to allow for the roadway to be re-surfaced. This work should take approximately three weeks to be complete. If you have any questions about the project, please contact Brian Sinnwell, Deputy Executive Director of Planning and Engineering at (502) 363-8512.
