HMSHost Grand Opening

May 27, 2011

Louisville International Airport (SDF) today launched the 2011 summer travel season with the Grand Opening of its new and renovated restaurants and cafés operated by HMSHost, the airport’s food-and-beverage concessionaire. To celebrate, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and Executive Director of the Airport Authority Skip Miller were joined by HMSHost Senior Director of Business Development Michael Fetchko and Host’s partner—George Tinsley. Laurie Schalow represented YUM! Brands.

At the ribbon cutting, Mr. Miller noted, “HMSHost has developed a unique team—one that blends world-renowned brand names with hometown roots and expertise.” “Whether they enjoy bourbon in the updated Woodford Reserve Bar and Grill or grab a bite at one of the many restaurants, travelers will get a taste of Louisville’s hospitality,” Mayor Greg Fischer said. “These new renovations and dining options will add to the overall experience of our top-notch airport.” HMSHost invested $2.2 million in the facilities listed below.
