Louisville International Terminal Enhancement Construction Update 6/16/16

June 16, 2016

Construction continues on the $9.5 million Louisville International Airport Terminal Enhancement Project. HMS Host (food-and-beverage) and Paradies Lagardère (gift-and-news) are investing more than $8 million combined in new outlets and retail stores.

After the Security Checkpoint (Airside Terminal) – Connector Area

Construction on the east side of the airside connector (beyond the security checkpoint to the airside rotunda) begins Thursday, June 16 and will continue through August. Due to the enhancements in this area, the following adjustments will take place:

• Pedestrian Walkways: The east walkway will be temporarily closed during this phase of construction.

• Moving Sidewalk: Both directions of the moving sidewalk will remain open and accessible during construction.

• Restrooms: The men’s and women’s restrooms directly after the security checkpoint will remain open.

• Electric Passenger Carts: Electric cart service will be temporarily unavailable due to the construction walls. Special Service Representatives (SSR) with wheelchairs are available to assist travelers to their gates.

New food-and-beverage outlets The Local Rustic Market and The Farmers Market will open Friday, June 17 in the airside concourses. These grab-and-go kiosks replace the former La Tapenade locations. The Local Rustic Market will be in Concourse A (between Gates A8 and A10), while The Farmers Market will be in Concourse B (between Gates B9 and B11).
