Steve Petty, Deputy Executive Director of Operations for the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, recently announced that Greg Bunten has been hired, effective Monday, May 16, to fill the position of Terminal Operations Director. Bunten will oversee the day-to-day terminal services and ground transportation operations at the Louisville International Airport. This includes working closely with airport service providers – including airlines, TSA, concessionaires and airport-related staff regarding terminal facility functions.
“Greg’s 20-plus years in the industry, most recently as the General Manager for American Airlines at Louisville International, will be an asset to the organization,” said Petty. “We are glad to have him join the Airport Authority team.” In addition to his time at Louisville International, Bunten held several leadership positions in airport operations with then-US Airways (now American Airlines) at Washington-Dulles International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport and with the airline’s Inflight Services Department. Bunten has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University and served in the United States Navy.
