SDF NEXT UPDATE: Temporary Closure of Commercial Curb on the Lower Arrivals Roadway

May 1, 2020

As part of the current work on the SDF Next Project at the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF), the commercial curb on the terminal’s lower arrivals roadway (the two far left lanes closest to the parking garage) will temporarily close beginning Monday, May 4, 2020. The closure is due to the installation of support beams for the covered walkways that will extend from Level 1 of the terminal to Level 2 of the parking garage, providing customers direct access from baggage claim. The lower roadway commercial curb will reopen in June 2020.

Commercial vehicles including taxis and hotel shuttles will continue to pick-up at various locations along the lower roadway. Taxis will pick-up along the lane closest to the center traffic island while hotel shuttles will pick-up on the curb closest to the terminal’s west side. Passengers should follow the temporary signage to the designated pick-up areas for commercial vehicles.

The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport celebrated its best year ever with more than 4.2 million passengers in 2019. The airport offers service from six airlines and draws travelers from across the region including Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
